Oclansorb has open chambers which encapsulate hydrocarbons, rather than
attaching to outer surfaces as they do with clay-based products. No
leaching or residue will be left to clean up.
Firefighters and industrial safety groups appreciate the many benefits
provided by Oclansorb absorbent.
It soaks up spills of oil and other fuels at bulk fuel stations and
on highways. Oclansorb mops up, on contact, jet fuel spills at airports.
It helps prevent oil and gasoline from draining into storm sewers, and
removes oil that leaks from electrical transformers and hydraulic equipment.
Oclansorb absorbent is an all-natural, environmentally friendly safe
product.
Every contingency clean-up plan should include
Oclansorb as the first response for handling hydrocarbon spills...efficiently,
ecologically, and economically.

OCLANSORB
IS
EFFICIENT
Absorbs six times its weight in medium oil. On average, clay-based products
absorb only 0.4 timestheir weight. One pound of Oclansorb will clean
up to 15 times more oil than one pound of clay. Requires less product,
so less storage space is required. Reduces up to 90-percent of combustible
vapours upon application. Works instantly when applied on land—just
brush it in and sweep it up, leaving the surface clean and safe.
ECOLOGICAL
Made from naturally occurring blonde sphagnum peat moss. Consists of
organic, nontoxic, non-abrasive, bio-degradable and lightweight industrial
oil absorbent. Meets and exceeds North American Leachate Standards.
Will not release carbons into the environment. Encapsulates oil which
prevents harmful agents from sticking to innocent victims of oil spills.
Oclansorb protects wildlife. Can be disposed of in landfills or by incineration,
in accordance with regulatory authority guidelines. Does not absorb
water (hydrophobic) and quickly absorbs oil allowing for immediate clean
up (oleophilic). Can be used liberally. Oclansorb will not hurt the
environment. Can be incinerated producing up to 7200 BTU’s per pound
(excluding hydrocarbons). Oclansorb is an alternative fuel source.
ECONOMICAL
Replaces 450-pounds of clay. One 44-liter bag of Oclansorb , instead
of nine 50-pound bags of clay! Can be stored in a dry place indefinitely.
Quick and easy clean up. Inexpensive disposal, as Oclansorb can be placed
in landfills or incinerators, local regulations permitting.
